Our site visit to Mrs Waterton’s property started with a bold statement, “You were highly recommended as you find solutions”.
We were asked if there was any possible solution to achieving wheelchair access to the front entrance of the house.
To the front of the property, there were two accesses; first was down to the basement via a set of steps and into the house through a door. The second entrance was the main entrance, from the footpath up a few steps to the main front door.
Space was limited and the existing staircase was breaking away from the existing supporting walls.
The only way we were able to achieve Wheelchair Access to the property whilst maintaining access to the basement level was by reconstructing the steps to the basement and replacing the main entrance steps with our FlexStep Wheelchair Platform Lift, which transforms into a staircase and a platform lift!
Instructing the builder, we completed the following in 8 days;
After the new area had been created we were able to attend with our FlexStep Wheelchair Platform Lift and complete our installation within 1 day.
