Adapting to the new way of working, here at Higher Elevation Ltd we are changing and improving our processes. Taking extra precautions to ensure we are preventing the risk of the spread of Coronavirus whilst providing all our services to our customers.
Our Stairlift Showroom is Re-Opening!
From Monday 6th July 2020, our Stairlift Showroom will be available for visitors via an appointment only.
We have increased our measures throughout our premises to ensure we are able to open our Showroom and meet the guidance issued by the Government.
When visiting our showroom the following measures will apply:
- Please arrive at your appointment time, we will only be able to allow up to 3 people per visit
- You will be greeted by a member of staff who will be wearing a face-covering
- On entry please use our "Be wise and Sanitise" station and put on a face-covering issued by our staff
- Where possible the 2m social distance will be implemented throughout your appointment
- Once your appointment is completed, on exit, please use our "Be Wise and Sanitise" station
- After each appointment, a member of staff will sanitise the showroom

Re-opening our Stairlift Showroom.
Home Assessments!
We are continuing business as usual and can conduct Stairlift, Homelift, Wheelchair Platform Lift, and Hoist surveys within private or commercial dwellings providing there are not any persons self-isolating or experiencing any symptoms of the coronavirus.
On our visits, we have taken some extra measures to provide our customers and our staff with the best safety whilst we conduct our work.
- Our Surveyor will call with an estimated time of arrival
- On their arrival, the Surveyor will knock at the door and take a social distance step away from the door
- They will then proceed to sanitise their hands and put on a face-covering
- Where possible the 2m social distance will be implemented throughout your appointment
- The Surveyor will need to conduct their assessment and may require to measure you whilst seated on a chair. At this point, the Surveyor will for a few minutes, be less than the 2m distance
- Once your appointment is completed, on exiting, the Surveyor will sanitise any surfaces they touch and their hands again.
- The Assessment process in total should take anything from 30-45 minutes
Should you make an appointment with our Surveyor and experience symptoms or any illness please call and rearrange your appointment in accordance with the self-isolating guidance.
OT's and Local Authorities - if you are not attending the site for assessments but are wanting us to provide you with a quotation we are able to conduct your assessment on a video call when we are at the property. Speak to the team to arrange our virtual visits.

If you are experiencing any of the following:
- A new continuous cough
- A high temperature
- A loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)
However mild, please cancel any appointments you have made with Higher Elevation Ltd, stay at home, and do not leave your house for 14 days from symptoms starting. You are not required to call NHS 111 to go into self-isolation.
If your symptoms during self-isolation worsen or are no better after 7-days, please contact NHS 111 online. If you have no internet access, you should call NHS 111.
Prevent the spreading of Coronavirus by:
- Frequently and thoroughly clean hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer or soap and water;
- When coughing and sneezing cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue – throw the tissue away immediately and wash hands;
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth;
- Avoid close contact with anyone who has a fever or cough
- Clean and disinfect regularly touched objects and surfaces
